Movie review: Riverdale

   Riverdale is a TV show produced by Netflix. Basically, it's another hit in the online movie industry. Riverdale is a city somewhere in the middle of the US, typical small town with two high schools and several coffee shops. Nothing really happens there, other than really strange murders, serial killers, gangs and other criminal subjects. Everything of the "dark" world is represented there: drugs, killers, corruption scandals, schemes and e.t.c. Not only a criminal sphere is pretty diverse there, there are characters from any sort of minorities: gays, queer, indigenous people, individuals with mental health issues. Literally, the whole spectrum is represented in Riverdale.

       Show is a mix of a great detective story with a lot of unexpected plot twists and a romantic high school soapy show. It works out great with a parallelly evolving stories of students' parents, who have gone to the same school and made same mistakes. Main characters are: Archie - a high school football player with a bunch of music skills, Jughead - philosophically inclined social outcast, Betty - a smart girl with a strong sense of justice and, finally, Veronica Lodge - a former wealthy socialite from New York City. Veronica's father will end up conquering Riverdale and turning this city into a drug lab. Obviously, the story is really twisted, and it sounds confusing at first. However, a high school theme with an adrenaline rush on side is a great combo!
